I am an avid lover of history. I am always reading something to help me expand my knowledge, reading up on new information published by trusted historians, or listening to historical podcasts. As an educator, my job of learning never ends. As certificated social science teacher, I do not put a lot of emphasis on traditional rote names and dates memorization but an emphasis on understanding these facts within a historical and cultural framework.
