About Tamara
I have taught for over 30 years in bilingual, multicultural classrooms and I love to teach because I love to learn. I am a life long learner who never tires of learning and sharing what I learn with my students and others. This enthusiasm is borne out of excitement for learning; teaching is a reciprocal with with learning and students can feel that I love what I am doing and the belief I have that we can all learn. We may have slightly different ways of learning and it's my job to find ways to make the concepts and materials I am teaching accessible to ALL students.

Specialities
I am very fond of the natural world and of stimulating children's curiosity about it and all aspects of the natural world. As such, I love to help students learn to research plants, animals, science (biology, geography, anatomy and physics). The most common questions should drive a student's learning; how? why? who? what,? when? where?
I also have a love for languages and all forms of communication. Hence, I love to teach young people to read and to see their worlds open up as they see they can learn about almost anything when they can read. Language builds bridges between individuals, cultures and is the foundation of our socialization process. English was my first language, French was my second and Spanish my third.
