About Shane
I've done so much, and I am proud of it! Park ranger, biology teacher, forest custodian, and even a animal handler in a mouse lab for genetics! My love for learning is only outshined by my gunie enjoyment for helping someone else reach that "a-HA!" moment. In fact, so much of my teaching happens on trail as well as in the classroom - I've helped take hundreds of students backpacking to show them the natural wonders of the outdoors. And when I run out of students, I teach strangers on the trails I hike both in America and internationally. The only thing to make this all better? Possibly helping students online where and when they need it. I hope to be the one to help you learn! (or just understand the subject and get it done - that is just as important to some.)

Specialities
Outdoor education and taking students backpacking is my specialty! Showing them the wonders of nature that is all around them is what brings me joy. I am moving into a summer camp oriented teaching experience, but I need to do something for the winter! Time to substitute teach and online tutor so I can return to the wilderness when the weather is favorable.
