I am the guy that actually does math for fun. Exploring the subject and having an intimate understanding of it is far more important and rewarding than memorizing the formulas at face value. When I tutor, my goal is to take the student on this journey with me: a journey of discovery and creativity. What are the implications of this problem? What is a different way we could solve the problem? There's always more than one way. I hope to bring a student to understanding in this manner.
I have been tutoring for more than seven years. I have also spent one year as a high school algebra and geometry teacher. Some of my tutorials can be found on YouTube under "Ray Biggerstaff". Problems that I have created myself can be found on Instagram under "RecklessMath"
