About Phylla
I'm Phylla, an online Math tutor from the Philippines. My expertise is in teaching Math for Grades 7 to 10 but I can also teach lower levels and Grades 11 and 12.
I like presenting complex math concepts in bite-size units. Analogies, tricks, and techniques are some of the tools I use to demystify complex ideas. I begin with introducing the concept, then, I show examples. After which, I give exercises similar in form to the examples but with increasing difficulty.
I can fluently deliver my lessons in both English and Filipino and employ the use of a pen tablet to show the solutions to some math problems.
I am generally patient and affirming, always seeking to hear an "aha" moment from my student.
