For me, the teacher is the center of knowledge and in charge of learning whereas students are usually passively receiving information. I view students as empty vessels who passively receive knowledge from their teachers. For me, teachers should have lots of patience and the ability to put the lesson in a clear simple manner in front of the students and should try to understand things from the student's perspective. Teachers are the sole supplier of knowledge, and under the direct instruction model, teachers often utilize systematic, scripted lesson plans. Interaction and questioning from the students help me to grow more as a teacher. I enjoy teaching young minds about the things around us. Their inquisitiveness always keeps me going as a teacher.
