I have 2.5 years of experience tutoring students grades K-2 in math and ELA. I have additional experience as a substitute teacher in grades K-5, in which I facilitate student learning through existing lesson plans and ensure students receive quality grade-level appropriate instruction. I truly enjoy working with young learners and encouraging the development of lifelong learning.
In addition to working with young learners, I also have experience mentoring youth ages 16 to 24 with developing real-world skills, future planning, and navigating college.
I have a B.S. in Selected Studies in Education from Syracuse University, where I took courses in teaching strategies and perspectives in disabilities, and a postgraduate certificate in Special and Inclusive Education from the University of Nottingham, where I took courses in educating students on the autism spectrum and responding mindfully to challenging behavior.
