About Melissa

As the former president of the Learning Disabilities Association, I am passionate about helping students that have been identified or within the spectrum of having learning challenges.  I have en in-depth understanding of the difficulties students might face in learning new subject matters.  I  hold two Master's degrees, one in Law with a concentration in technology and innovation from UofT as well as an MBA from Cornell University.

I have 3 years of experience mentoring and coaching start-up company's.  During my MBA program, I mentored engineering teams on their written presentation and business strategy plans.  I have coached and help student teams with pitch competitions and enjoy helping students feel more confident in their learning journies.
 
I have over 12 plus years of corporate work experience in finance and three years of entrepreneurial experience working on my start-up.

I believe in tailored solutions to help and support the unique learning styles of each and every student's needs.  Therefore, managing and identifying each student's learning styles ahead will allow me to customize and tailor learning plans to maximize each student's learning capabilities.
