About Melanie

Hello! I have a bachelor's degree in math education from Illinois State University. I taught high school classes for four year in Chicago high schools. I taught algebra, geometry, and algebra 2 (pre-calc/trigonometry). I have previous 1x1 tutoring experience online and in-person. I am currently a college/career counselor supporting students in grades 9-12.

From a teacher's perspective, I know that all students learn differently, so I individualize instruction to ensure that I am teaching in the best way for them. I hope you can give me a chance to work with you and show you how math can be accessible for you to reach success! 

Personally, I enjoy traveling and taking road trips throughout the country. I love going to museums and aquariums and always learning new things! I love cooking and baking all sorts of cuisine.
