Hi, friends! I'm Katy Collins, and I'm a passionate career educator of 14 years. I've taught 3rd grade, 6th grade reading/writing, ESL/ELL students from grades 2 through adult learners, and I'm currently a reading interventionist for grades K-6. I've completed multiple professional development sessions recently, including becoming Orton-Gillingham cetified for response to dyslexia, and a Remote Learning session hosted by the Teacher's College out of Columbia Universty. In my spare time, I love to play with my Golden Retreiver, Yadi, work in my garden, travel, and cook! I've traveled to 48 out of 50 states, Germany, Iceland, Austria, and Aruba, and I've lived in Mexico City and New Delhi for short intercessions to teach. I love to teach students of all ages to love learning as much as I do! I approach life with enthusiasm and fun, and I work hard to bring that to my classroom and students. I look forward to working with you!
