About Karla
I am a graduate of BYU-Idaho with a bachelors in early childhood special education/education. I have taught 1st grade for 4 years and absolutely love it! In January of this year I earned my masters degree from WGU in curriculum and instruction. I love to teach and believe in nurturing the whole child through teaching. I would love to be influential in how other teachers come to be. I am currently a mentor teacher to a BYUI student teacher. I am confident with teaching writing, math, and language arts skills to elementary aged children. I also have vast experience working with children learning english for the first time (ESL). I am also confident teaching adults pursuing a career in education.
