About Justin
As a student, I was deeply affected by professors. If I was struggling academically or faced a difficult situation, reliable faculty helped me persist. Professors gave me strength by believing in me when I didn't believe in myself. Ultimately, I would like to positively influence students, like how I was influenced. I became fascinated with science as a student. I realized how common science was in our lives, like in my chemistry class we learned about chemical properties of household items, then even in biology, when I realized that I was made of the same cells I was studying.
I think that understanding and applying the scientific method can guide children to rational thinking. I hope I inspire students to enjoy science. I am adaptable as a tutor, working at a speed comfortable to the student. I also give students adequate time to tackle problems because I understand that learning occurs by practice, not just watching a problem being solved.

I believe a career in a field of science has great job potential and can be extremely fulfilling. I also think that understanding and applying the scientific method can be a great exercise to help children think rationally. I hope I can inspire students to find value in learning science. I am adaptable as a tutor, working at a speed comfortable to the specific student in order to support long-term retention. I will also give the students adequate time to solve problems on their own because I understand that even if the material is explained well, learning occurs when the student is actively practicing, not just listening or watching a problem being solved.
