About Jordan

I'm a state certified math teacher teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-calculus. I work for a public charter school in San Antonio, Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in December 2019. 
My undergraduate degree has concentrations in middle grades math, I'm a state-certified teacher in mathematics grades 7-12, and I have years of experience tutoring, teaching, and mentoring students. I also have experience developing digital learning content in math and science content areas at the high school level.
As a learner, I was able to identify connections in math that were not explicitly shown to me. As a teacher, I realize that a lot of students do not see the connections that are essential to understanding why and how MathWorks the way it does. My goal as a tutor is to promote math self-efficacy by exploring essential interdisciplinary connections.
