Greetings,
I'm a qualified teacher of Economics and Business studies with 16 years experience. In my career I've been lucky enough to teach in 3 continents to students from around the world, predominantly in an ESL setting. Early on in my career I studied part time and completed an MBA, allowing me to gain some valuable industry experience.
I believe in the educational theory of contructivism where pupils build on what they know, to understand and learn. I find that all students have an inherent understanding of economics and business in that we are all consumers. This puts pupils at an advantage in that they experience half of what business and economics is about already. My experience allows me to provide context and annecdotes for students to understand and relate their own experiences to explain theory. This allows students to achieve more concrete functional understanding and success.
