About John
I hold a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BA in Mathematics. I hold other degrees in Viticulture and oenology and worked 10 years internationally in the wine industry. I was certified in 2011 through a 1-year intensive program that involved a lot of classroom student teaching and lots of professional development seminars.
In my classroom I use games, puzzles, hands-on activities, digital resources and real-world projects.
I am a life-long learner and am constantly reading, listening to podcasts/audiobooks, etc. to increase my content knowledge and my pedagogy.
I am also passionate about learning and using more online teaching platforms.
I love Math, and I like Math to be fun.
