I am an experienced online tutor, I have taught both high school and University Mathematics for many years. I have taught at Harding High School and Bridgeport University in Bridgeport CT and Fairfield University, and Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. I have a PHD in Mathematics from the University of Rochester. When I teach an online student I try to create a relaxed environment which facilitates the learning process. My philosophy for teaching Mathematics is that learning Mathematics should be an enjoyable experience and no stone shoudl be left unturned when it comes to understanding the reasoning behind what is being learned. Once a student understands WHY something is true, it is much easier for them to understand HOW to do it. Of course, sometimes the WHY is beyond the scope of the lesson, but it is something I always strive for.
