About Jennifer
As a student, student teacher, and now certified high school teacher in Ontario, CA, I know that learning never stops. My priority with every student is to acknowledge their understanding where it is, and to help them continue to build new and evolving skills, and increase their knowledge through a variety of different learning strategies and engagement tools - including using multimedia, one-on-one conversations, and connections to personal experiences. My goal is for each student to feel heard and seen in every learning environment, and I will do my best to help a student continue their learning and gain a better understanding of the subject matter.

I have experience teaching high school English, including units on poetry, short stories, novel studies and Shakespeare. I am an experienced writer, with knowledge on how to write in many formats for multiple different audiences, and I can help with every stage of writing and English language learning, from basic grammar to editing, proofreading, and polishing already-completed work.
I also have experience teaching Visual Arts and Art History to all grades in high school, and have a wide range of knowledge about visual arts, techniques, and types of art, as well as art history, ranging from early medieval architecture to Gothic architecture, and art movements across multiple centuries.
