I graduated from Mississippi State University with a Ph.D. in Mechanical engineering and a concentration in Materials engineering. During graduate school, my advisor, Dr. Mark Horstemeyer, ensured that we master teaching as a prerequisite to graduation. In lieu of that, I have experience teaching a range of classes from middle/high school to graduate and an array of subjects that include mathematics, physics, metallurgy, mechanics of materials. Furthermore, I am teaching materials modelling in McMaster University to undergraduate and graduate students.
During my academic years, I have been fortunate to learn from a variety of teachers, where each one of them had a unique method of teaching. By studying these various techniques, I have distilled a method which is effective and focuses on teaching, learning, and clarification of concepts rather than dictation of facts without a care of understanding the material taught.
