I was born and raised in northern Virginia where I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Exercise Science and Therapeutic Recreation. My early career was spent as a Recreational Therapist working in clinical and community programs supporting others with special needs. However, I felt I needed to bring my energy and love for physical activity to the classroom, so for the last five years I have been providing K-5 students with the knowledge and tools to enjoy being physically active and how to stay healthy as a Health and Physical Education Teacher. Over the years, I have also dedicated time to helping students understand pre-algebra and mathematics at the elementary level. In my free time, I enjoy spending lots of time with my family and two shelter dogs, being outdoors surrounded by nature, drinking espresso in my coffee, building things, and solving challenges.
