About Emma
Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a certified teacher in 6-12th grade Social Studies and English Language Arts. I have taught both middle and high school ELA and History, and currently work as a Learning Support professional at a school in Colorado, where I oversee the school's Special Education program and support students with executive functioning and subject-specific support. I love learning, and am passionate about supporting all students in accessing educational spaces where they can show up as their full selves and achieve their full potential. As an educator and tutor, I always strive to prioritize creativity! This means integrating a variety of forms of media into instruction, allowing for students to demonstrate their knowledge and progress towards learning goals through a variety of pathways, and following a social-emotional approach to teaching that prioritizes holistic student wellness above all else.
