I have always valued language and literature as a bridge of connection. I cherish the ways in which it can bring us closer through our own shared humanity, and help us feel less alone in the world. Diving into the sea of literature propels us into the very real depths within us, as individuals and as a collective, and this in turn expands the ways in which we are able to empathize with one another, the ways in which we can offer the grace of our human understanding, and possibly most significantly, the ways in which we can attempt to eloquently communicate, most efficiently, the consciousness, the worlds, the thoughts and feelings that are within us, thus allowing the potential of the much needed feeling of being understood, of being held, in our shared humanity.
