About Brooke
Hello! My name is Brooke Mullins, and I am an experienced ESL/EFL educator currently taking graduate-level courses in Linguistics.
While at Kent State University for my degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, I completed an intensive Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate program in Dresden, Germany (high school, college, and adult ages), and I minored in Japanese. Upon graduation, I also went on an AIESEC volunteer program to teach English in Arequipa, Peru. In addition to this, I spent 2 years teaching English online to children (kindergarten - middle school ages) in mainland China.
Most recently, I taught English as an Assistant Language Teacher in two Japanese high schools and one Japanese special education school in Shimane, Japan, from 2019 2021. Currently, I am pursuing an M.A. in Linguistics and am a linguistics tutor at my institution.
