My name is Arthur Marin and I have a passion for teaching and math. I began my professional life as a Data Analyst for a subsidiary of the Boeing Company. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics in 1997 at UCSD, and decided in late 1999 that I wanted a career where I would make difference in young people's lives. I earned my teaching credential in 2001 in mathematics. I taught Algebra and Pre-Algebra at the 7th and 8th-grade level for ten years and currently teach Mathematics at the High School level and enjoy the challenge of instilling a passion for mathematics in young people. In 2004, I earned my Masters degree in Mathematics Education K-8 from San Diego State University. I believe as teachers of mathematics it is necessary to help all learn mathematics with understanding and believe that it should make sense to them. I enjoy teaching mathematics and helping students enhance their understanding of important mathematical ideas.
