Education is a celebration of both the individual and the community. I focus on the needs of each child, not just the requirements set by our state standards, in order to help empower students to learn about and realize their individual strengths, interests and abilities. The differences between us are what makes our community as a whole strong, rich and vibrant. I teach my students to celebrate diversity and differences, which lead to open mindedness and critical thinking. Following social reconstructionism and progressivism ideologies. My education philosophy will accomplish these goals through five main objectives: to promote critical thinking, to grow our classroom into a community, to foster a positive atmosphere, to create the curriculum around the students, and to be mindful and compassionate, and to root my teaching within social justice.
