About Amy
I am a very patient and understanding tutor who will work step-by-step with your child/young adult to reach his/her potential. I love find new creative ways of approaching a subject area and bring out confidence in a child/young adult's own abilities. I strive to make the learning experience both enjoyable and interactive, checking in periodically to see where the student is at. I have graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in English Literature and a Minor in Spanish from Texas Woman's University. I have several years of experience working alongside students both as a substitute teacher for Austin Independent School District and as a private tutor. I have also helped special needs students as well. My favorite subjects are English, Math (Pre-Algebra and Algebra), Social Studies, and Creative Writing.
